To know how to enable and setup Vacation responder for your account, follow the steps given below:
  • Open Gmail and then sign in to your account.
  • Select the Settings icon from the top right corner and then click on Settings.
  • Scroll down and then turn on the Vacation Responder feature.
  • Now mention the dates in which you are going to be away from your account.
  • Select to whom you want to reply and then click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen to apply the settings.
Gmail also allows you to chat with other Gmail users directly without sending emails. You can use Gmail’s Hangouts feature to chat with anyone instantly instead of sending email. Furthermore, you can also create chat groups on Hangouts and talk to many people at once. This feature is really useful for anyone, whether you want to chat with your team members regarding work or just need to collaborate with your friends.
  • To use Hangouts from Gmail, first sign in to your Gmail account.
  • Click on the Hangouts icon in the bottom left corner.
  • There you will see your frequently contacted groups or people. Either select a person or group from the frequent chat or click on the plus icon to start a new conversation.
  • Enter the name of the person in the box and then click on its profile to start the chat.
